Aldrich Wealth was founded as a Registered Investment Advisor to provide transparency to our clients and to operate at the highest fiduciary standard. As an RIA registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, we are required to maintain a fiduciary standard which means we make recommendations that are in the best interest of our clients. We ensure transparency by disclosing all of our fees upfront.
Our Story
Aldrich Wealth was founded in 1998 as an affiliate of the parent company Aldrich CPAs + Advisors. After working with business owners for decades, we noticed a trend in our accounting firm clients selling their businesses and asking for assistance in investing the proceeds.
As more and more clients began to transition their business, two CPAs, Scott Barchus and Doug Davison realized the accounting firm was missing out on an opportunity to serve another aspect of our clients’ lives. Out of their shared experience working on the administration side of retirement plans and passion for how the markets worked, the idea of building a wealth management company emerged. That passion eventually led to the beginning of Aldrich Wealth (formerly AKT Wealth Advisors) in May 1998.
Aldrich Wealth had many items to address in the early years, including gaining experience, understanding the regulatory environment, creating infrastructure, and traversing volatile markets. We also had to convince our clients to put their faith in a wealth management firm that had no assets under management and no prior experience.
With a great passion for meeting client needs, the foundation of the wealth business was created by the guiding principles and people of Aldrich. The core principles we established were driven by the shortcomings that existed in the industry at the time and still exist today, including:
- Maintaining advocacy for our clients
- Delivering services our clients need instead of selling them something
- Creating a strong value proposition with many facets
- Building strong relations with our clients by listening to and understanding them
While this brief story merely depicts the start of our journey, there have been many notable contributions to Aldrich Wealth’s growth over the years. Many people have contributed to our success and hundreds of amazing clients have placed their trust in us. The entrepreneurial spirit and love for serving our clients that exists in our people today drive us to provide more success for clients and a stronger business in the years to come.
