Recordkeeping Consulting
Working With Existing Recordkeeper or Selecting a Recordkeeper
The recordkeeper is one of the most visible and interactive aspects of corporate retirement plans.
Employees engage with the recordkeeper’s interface on a regular basis, both online and in their statements, making it important to find the right fit. Our corporate retirement plan professionals are experienced working with any existing recordkeeper a plan uses or helping guide companies through the due diligence process of selecting a recordkeeper.
Our professionals have first-hand experience with the RFP (Request for Proposal) or RFI (Request for Information) process, knowing what to look for, what issues may arise and how to put all the pieces together. We work to understand the corporate retirement plan’s overall objectives and help make an informed decision for the best recordkeeper to meet those goals.
Recordkeeping Evaluation and Search
We can work with any recordkeeper and assist you with the evaluation of your current recordkeeper’s services and fees. When needed, we can also perform a search for a new recordkeeper that may better fit your plan’s needs.
The process begins by taking the time to really listen and understand your plan – its needs, goals and objectives. The approach is also highly consultative, which allows us to share our expertise and experience in the process. We pride ourselves on keeping up with the latest thinking and strategies in our industry and often introduce new ideas or concepts on how to deliver more positive outcomes for participants in the plan.
Once recording needs are defined, our proprietary due diligence process can be leveraged to simplify recordkeeping selection.
HR and Payroll Consulting and Training
We are staffed with the dedicated resources our clients need for training, ongoing consulting and streamlining of human resource processes. Our goal is to minimize the amount of administrative burden that falls on your staff while allowing you to keep closer control of the important things you wish to manage. To this point, we begin every recordkeeping relationship striving to match an appropriate level of technology to your administrative process based on your comfort level. Our partnering recordkeepers are equipped to interface with many national/regional/local payroll providers for receiving information directly from the plan sponsor’s payroll platform.
We will provide in-person training, as well as other training resources to ensure your HR professionals have the capabilities to manage the distribution and loan activities of the plan. We provide the resources upon transition and as you hire new staff.
